Clara "Clarita" Rutter peacefully departed for her heavenly home on December 8, 2019 at the age of 77, after a valiant battle with pneumonia. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Clara is survived by her husband Leo, her children Brian and Marcella, grandchildren Gabriella, Bianca, Alec and Eliana, her son-in-law Mark, and daughter-in-law Dawn, of the San Antonio area.
Clara was born in 1942, in Colombia, and became an American Citizen in 1981. In 1967, she married Leo, a U.S Army officer, and they recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in August of 2019.
A Memorial service is scheduled to take place on December 15, 2019, at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00pm, Prayer Service at 2:00 pm, and a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Clara's life.
