Cliff was a man who lived life with passion, loyalty, and heart in all that he did. For instance, spending years as a Member of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) in Austin, Texas. Taking pride in the cause and always showing support to whoever needed it.
A true motorcycle enthusiast, Clifford found freedom and happiness on two wheels. Riding motorcycles with BACA or on his own, the open road gave him a place to simply enjoy life.
Sometimes seen as a lone wolf, he took that mentality when working with and re-homing dogs, with a big heart for pit bulls. He was a great advocate for dogs in shelters and would gravitate to the ones harder to place, knowing they were just as worthy of love.
Clifford was preceded in death by his loving wife, Veronica Carmona Shawd; his parents, Clifford and Louise Shawd; his sisters, Sara, Susie, Stephanie, and Sabrina; and his brothers, Sam, David, and Thad.
Clifford leaves behind to cherish his memory his stepchildren, Apryl and Nicholas Gonzalez; his sisters, Melissa (Robert) Stewart, Teresa Lundine, and Amie Salem; and his brother, Tim Shawd in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be remembered through extended family, dear friends, his fellow members of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), and many acquaintances that he met through his career paths.
Cliff’s laughter and kindness will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends. As we gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Funeraria del Angel Trevino (Palo Alto Location) from 1-4pm, we invite all who knew him to share their stories and memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends Of Austin, Animal Services, (friendsofaac.org), or to B.A.C.A. at bacaworld.org; two causes close to Cliff’s heart.
