Clifton Ross Dew was born December 21, 1929 in Ysleta, TX and passed into eternity on October 12, 2012 in San Antonio. He was raised in El Paso and graduated from Ysleta High School. He graduated with a B. A. in Business Administration from Texas Tech University. Clifton married Billie Jean Walker on August 10, 1950.He was an Infantry Officer in the U. S. Army from 1952-57, serving in Korea, during the Korean War, from 1952-53. He returned to El Paso working for El Paso Natural Gas in accounting and payroll. In 1965 he became interested in and was trained as a computer programmer and continued as a programmer and analyst until his retirement from civil service in 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife and his brother, Charles Dew. Surviving are his son, Brad Dew and his wife, Catherine; brother, Joe Dew; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Eck, Jaime Dew, Alisha Hau, Lauren Dew; 3 great-grandchildren, Amber Hinton, Chris Hinton and Johnnie Camp. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
