Climmie Smith Trammell, born March 31, 1911, passed away on October 25, 2002. Climmie was born in Satsuma, Texas to Charles and Naomi Smith and raised in a railroad section house. On April 15, 1932, she married Milton Montgomery Trammell who retired from Humble Oil & Refining Company and who preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Delores Jean Vickers and husband, Dale Vickers of St. Hedwig, Texas and Gloria Ann Duke and husband, Lonnie Duke, of Wimberley, Texas; one sister, Naomi Schuenmann of Cypress, Texas, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Eastern Star in Houston, Heights, Texas. She lived the last eleven years of her life as a resident of The Forum in San Antonio, Texas. She was a long time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston and while residing in San Antonio, a member of LaVernia United Methodist Church.
