
Clyde Curtis Ligons singer, songwriter, actor, playwright; born in Cincinnati, Ohio; '69 graduate of Walnut Hills High School, Cincinnati, OH; '69 Winner of the Ohio State Scholastic High School Best Actor Award; '73 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theatre; Beta Sigma Rho Fraternity; performed in the first ever college production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar and numerous venues in New York, Los Angeles and across Europe; authored Book of Love and Thank the Lord, two of the musical productions he wrote and directed a number of times. Book of Love was recently performed at South Congregational Church, Concord, NH. (Much thanks to Mark Frazier)
Clyde recently completed the writing of Revelation, the play, inspired by the book of the Bible of the same name.
A self taught musician, Clyde played many instruments, most notably, the guitar.
Acting and directing is a talent he passed on to his beautiful daughter, Meagon Viktoria Roe who he raised with his best friend and former wife Victoria S. Ligons. Clyde is survived by his brothers Willie Lee and Tommie and sister Rochelle, his many nieces, nephews and cousins, extended family of friends all who loved him dearly. Predeceased by father mother Luedella and Bill.
