Henry Morales, CMSgt, USAF (Ret), graciously passed away into the arms of our Lord on February 14th, 2017 from Parkinson's disease. Henry was born September 13th, 1934 in New Braunfels, TX to Charlie and Francesca Morales. After graduating from New Braunfels High School, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18. While assigned to San Diego Naval Air Station, he met the love of his life, Eleanor Walker. After 3 years in the Marine Corps, he transitioned to the United States Air Force where he had an outstanding 28-year career in the Supply field with numerous tours stateside and overseas to include Japan and Nicaragua where he was handpicked as U.S. Embassy staff. As a leader and mentor, he was selected to be in the top one percent of the enlisted force earning the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and was known as a "Chief's Chief!" He earned numerous campaign and humanitarian medals as well as the Meritorious Service medal, Commendation medal and Vietnam Gallantry Cross and Campaign medals. Following retirement, he worked for the Digital Corporation and then as a Civil Servant, holding positions at Fort Sam Houston and later as an Air Force Foreign Program Manager at Kelly Air Force Base. He then served as a Systems Manager at the Air Force Cryptological Support Center until retiring from civil service in his late 60's. A true role model, one would simply learn from him, just by being in the same room. He never accepted second best, not from himself nor from others. He was a devoted family man who took care of everything. He was the personification of love and one of the world's truly great people. The task of filling the hole left in the world's heart will be the collective effort of his family who have been well prepared through his masterful lessons. He is survived by his loving wife Eleanor, celebrating 61 years together; daughters Donna Johnson with husband Blaine and granddaughter Brooke, Debra Glombik with husband Christian, granddaughter Jennifer Koval, husband Jedadiah and great-grandson Blake; grandson Shane Glombik and sisters Angie Sanchez and husband Bonaficio, and Martha Castilleja.
