He was my cousin and my best friend and its hard going through days knowing he isn't there or here. But I know he is in a good place and is watching over me every second of the day.

Art, Jackie, and Brittany, I want to firstly say how very very sorry I am for the loss of Cody. Cody was a part of our family that will never be forgotten, for he will live in each of our hearts till that day when we are reunited with him in heaven. I also want to say to Art and Jackie that you were the best parents that cody could have ever had. Jackie and Art you always went above and beyond for Cody, you not only were his parents while he was here, but ya'll were his saviors. There is not anything that ya'll would not have done for cody. Brittany you were the best big sister to cody while he was here,looking back at the pictures of you and him there was always a big smile on his face when he was in his big sisters arms. I just wanted to tell you that I am so happy that Cody was in mine and your lives for the seven years that he was here. He is someone that I am going to miss so dearly he ment a lot to not only the family,but also to everyone that he came in contact with. As soon as people saw that great big smile that he always had on they knew that he was someone very special. 
Cody is a blessing that was given to our family seven years ago in the form of a being, and now he lives on forever in our hearts in the form of a guiding angel.

I got to know your son when I went to substitute for an assistant in Janet Henry's room at Oak Grove Elementary. After that I was hired as a full time assistant at Oak Grove in another classroom but enjoyed going by to see your son..He was truly a sweet boy..I am so very sorry of your loss.My prayers are with you during this difficult time...
