Conchita Gonzalez y Arroyo Johnson

She was an avid contributor to charities and a generous and supportive mother, grandmother, and friend that everyone could rely on for support, encouragement, laughter, and wise council. Connie was a member and treasurer of Oak Haven Baptist/Celebration Bible Church for more than 45 years. She sang with the Sweet Adelines "Mission Belles" until they disassembled, and was a bookkeeper for most of her later years until retirement in 1999.

Conchita resided at The Waterford Retirement Village at the time of her death and was a resident of Hollywood Park for 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Master Sgt. Leonard M. Johnson of Hollywood Park; her parents, Jose Gonzalez Ginorio and Conchita Arroyo Roque Gonzalez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; her grandson, Kevin Shields of Valdez, Alaska, and 6 of 7of her siblings, Julio, Ana Maria Felcher, Gabriel, Enrique, Juan Jose, and Pepito.

She is survived by her sister, Carmen "Pucha" Figueroa of San Juan, P.R.; her children Nell Clayton of Valdez, Alaska, Johnny and Arlene "Lisa" Johnson of Bandera, TX ., Connie Pommerening of San Antonio, TX., Ken and Rhonda Johnson of Hollywood Park, TX., Michael and Kathy Johnson of Schertz, TX., her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Joseph of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Justin and Cynthia Johnson and daughter McKenna, of Spring, TX., Jordan Johnson of Dallas, TX., Jarrett Johnson of Spring, TX., Alyca and Bailey Taylor, and son Jackson of Houston, TX., Matthew Pommerening of Houston, TX., Wayne & Carissa Howard and children, Destin, Grant, Evelyn, Abigail, Vincent, Julian, of Converse, TX., David and Taja Howard and children, Dekoda, Donovan, Reece, Devan, and Micah, of Harrison, AR., Adam and Cristen Howard and children Jonathan and Illyana of Hollywood Park, TX., Kevin Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX., and many nieces and nephews.
