Connie Beck

February 29, 1916 – February 23, 2016

Connie Beck, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on February 29, 1916 in Manila, Philippines, to parents, Antonio de la Riva and Milagros Schmid. Connie survived WWII along with her children and her husband, who was held captive as a Prisoner of War. She arrived in the U.S. in 1952 and soon thereafter, became a citizen of the United States. She took her civil responsibilities to heart by being active in her community and always voting. Connie was very active in her faith, serving at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church before moving to the Canyon Lake area. More recently, she attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul E. Meyer; and second husband, Capt. H.G. Beck. Connie is survived by her daughter, Margaret Maisel; son, Paul A. Meyer and his wife, Brigitte; grandchildren, Paul A. Meyer (Chip), Carl Meyer, Victoria "Vicky" Masiel and her husband, Mike Colemere; Leslie M. Otero and her husband Richard, and Kristi Maxwell; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 1:00p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church
