
Connie Richards Hartman entered rest on February 3, 2013 at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born in Belton, Texas on October 8, 1933 and grew up in Pipe Creek, Texas. She attended Bandera High School and moved to San Antonio at the age of 18 where she lived the rest of her life.
Connie was a hairstylist at Maurice's Hair Fashions for 25 years and retired in 1976. She met and married Donald W. Hartman in 1954 and had 2 children, Donald Jr. and Susan. After retirement, she served with several local non-profit organizations including the San Antonio Genealogical Society and Santa Rosa Children's Hospital Auxiliary. Connie was an extremely creative and artistic talent in many mediums. She has a deep love of and commitment to family and friends. She was also a uniquely talented event organizer, whether for family, business or charitable events.
Her family would like to offer special gratitude to Axiom Home Health Care, Emeritus at Amber Oaks, Dr. John Seaworth, Dr. Laura Akright, Dr. Pat Bell, Vitas Hospice and the physicians and staff of N.E. Baptist Hospital for their care.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Conley and Woody Richards; her husband Don Hartman; her sisters, Grace Strey and GeorgeAnn Kalka; her brothers, Rusty and Rick Richards; her brother-in-law, Wilburn Strey; and her sister-in-law, Jeri Richards.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan and son-in-law Greg Fronimos; her son, Don Hartman, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl; daughter-in-law, Debra Hartman; granddaughters, Aubrey Hartman, Amy Hartman, Allyn Hartman and Alayne Fronimos; and grandson, John Fronimos. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Coy and Jim Word; sister, Colene Dugosh; brother, Woody Don Richards; sister-in-law, Marlene Richards; brothers,Gary, C.H., Butch and Johnny Richards and their families in addition to many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
