

Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Isidro V. Montoya.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Isidro Jr. (Zoe), Sylvia (Cervando), Alfred (Abby), Gilbert (Theresa), David (Misha), and Mary (Jesse), as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was also deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Connie was known for her ability to create friendships and alliances through her warm generosity and fearless, lively approach to life. She had a rare gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved having fun, being social, and bringing people together.
Connie graduated from St. Theresa’s Academy and went on to work as a legal secretary for prominent lawyers - who were instrumental in many important civil rights cases. She took pride in her work and carried herself with strength, grace, and deep integrity throughout her life.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212, an evening service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 617 S Santa Rosa Ave, San Antonio, TX 78204, with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
Connie’s love for her family, her sense of purpose, and her joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to attend and celebrate her life.
