
Constance Elizabeth Beck received the gift of her personal savior, Jesus Christ, entering eternal life on July 10, 2002. Her love expressed for her husband of 56 years, Donald G. Beck, and her children and their families and her friends to her last day was a blessing. She bravely fought her illness with fortitude and without complaint for over 14 years. The youngest of three sisters, Connie was born on March 22, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA to Mary and Vernon Ferguson. She graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1946 and received her Masters Degree in Education from Western Michigan University in 1976. She was an elementary school teacher in Ohio, Michigan and the Northside ISD in San Antonio for many years. Her career culminated as an Associate Professor in Reading Development at Palo Alto College in San Antonio. Her active participation in the community included the Hunters Creek Home Owners Association and the San Antonio Library Board. Tennis was her passion. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen V. Beck, in 1978. Constance is survived by her husband, Don; her sister, Mary Ellen Clinton of Los Angeles, CA; her sons, Donald G. Beck, Jr. and his wife, Patricia Beck, Philip L. Beck and his wife, Sheryl L. Beck; daughters, Elisabeth E. Swann and her husband, Karl W. Swann, MD of San Antonio, and Kathryn M. Drew and her husband, Patrick D. Drew of Austin, TX. Her grandchildren are Donald Beck, III, Adam Beck, Kathryn Swann, Matthew Swann, Paul Swann, Christen Beck, Caroline Beck, Lillie Beck, David Drew and Samuel Drew. She was a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church.
