Constance P. Durham, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed on to eternal life with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, March 7, 2022, at her home in Windcrest, Texas.
Mrs. Durham was born Constance Pearl Cave in 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to her parents George Henry Cave and Carol Ruth (Moreau) Cave. Vocationally, she was a civil servant for over 30 years, though her passions were her creative endeavors, doting on her children and grandchildren, taking care of those she loved, and creating a beautiful life with her husband, Bull.
When not with family, she spent much of her free time with the ladies at church or the quilt shop, in her sewing rooms, or baking and putting her talent into her creations. She was very well known for her amazing birthday cakes, handcrafted ceramics, custom clothing, and most recently, her beautifully detailed and intricate quilts. To her, it was more than a creative outlet, it was a way to express her love and creativity, and it came through in everything she made. While she could have monetized any of these works, she instead did it for the joy it provided those fortunate enough to receive them.
Constance was a woman so giving of herself, her love, and her faith, she was a guiding light to all of us that loved and knew her. She is survived by her husband, Clarence (Bull) Durham, Sr. her children JP Guerra, Cynthia Defoor, and Clarence (Slim) Durham, Jr. (wife Javon), her grandchildren Connor, Madison, Morgan, Jackson, Brandon, Clarence (Trip) III, Emma, and Sarah, her siblings, Suzanne (Norm Haskins), George (wife Marcia), Thomas (Sherri Jones), Stephen (Jane), Jon (Shannon Sprague), and Patrick (Sarah), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be hosted on March 30th at 2pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, located at 910 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX, 78232
