She was born in Monterrey, Mexico, to Placido and Consuelo Lozano, one of 13 children. Mrs. Chapa is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chapa, Jr. and siblings.
She is survived by her children: Gracie O'Rourke Sindelic (Sacha), Ed Chapa, Margo Pepps (Stephen), Yolands Sykes (Rick) and Elva Bullock (Tom); eight grandchildren: Tammy Sykes Wasson, Jay O'Rourke, Sean O'Rourke, Wendy Sykes Wright, Stephanie Pepps Welch, Ted Pepps, Sally Bullock Trevino, Craig Bullock; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing and visitation will begin on Sunday, November 16th at 5:30 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM at the Porter Loring Chapel, 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, TX 78212
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on at 8:00 AM on Monday, November 17th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate, San Antonio, TX 78216.
Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
