We were so heartbroken to hear about Courtney. He was such a good friend to our son Matt and he spent so much time at our house getting ready for games. Courtney was so kind and respected by all his friends and others lives that he touched. My thoughts and prayers go out to Roy, Kathy and Derrick and all the other family members. You will continue to be in our prayers during the difficult times ahead. We have been through the heartache that you are going through right now, so just remember to take one day at a time. If you ever want to talk, please call us anytime. (814-643-0286)
God Bless All of You!

I worked with Cortney for the last 5 years. I will miss our talks, his smirk and mischievous twinkle in his eyes, and his positive way of tackling problems big and small. He was truly a leader and will be missed by many people. He had high expectations for people and was used to always being disappointed but not lowering his standards -- a sign of a great Ops Manager!!! He was always willing to lend a hand or help out in any way. I miss you dearly and I can't believe you won't be around to see the next computer software...what if it really solves all of our problems???

My heart absolutely broke with this tragic news. It’s still difficult to come to terms with. Cortney was the best friend I had for so many years and I will never forget the countless ways he was like a brother to me. Cortney was a beautiful & kind soul that meant so much to so many of us over the years. I can’t imagine the amount of people he had an impact on throughout his time on this earth. He will remain in our hearts always. He made so many of us better just by being in our lives. I wish I could have told him one more time how much he touched my life...as I know he did so many others. I love you brother and I hope you know what you mean to those of us who had the fortune to be a part of your life. My love and prayers are with his family during this unimaginably difficult time. I wish I could give you all the biggest hug. Rest In Peace Cortney...you will be sorely missed by so many. And you will always be in my heart and memories.

Cortney was my roommate for three semesters in college. After college we traveled across the country in my 1988 Dodge Dakota extended bed pickup trip (she was eventually named “Daisy Dakota” and man was she a beauty!) The bed was seven feet long so he and I could actually fully extend our legs! I have to credit Cortney for my love of country music but I also need to blame Daisy for only being able to tune into one or two stations when we were in the middle of Montana- they just so happened to be country stations. Cort knew all the songs! Proud to say though that 15 years later I’m a loyal country listener because of my brother Cort! The photo below was from a stop in Montana. I am privileged and honored to have known Cortney and to have shared so many incredible memories with him. He was a genuinely good man with a kind heart. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. I’ll miss you brother but I promise to never forget you and will always honor your memory.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Cortney was one of the most authentic and genuinely nice people I have known. When I think of Cortney, I always think back to our soccer days. Some of the best times I had playing soccer were playing with Cortney especially in our younger days. He was always quick to help others and lighten the mood with a joke. Prayers to your family during this difficult time.

My heart breaks with this news. We have lost a truly genuine soul. A friend. A brother. Someone who I shared countless memories with over many years. There are few people like Cortney in this world and he will be so missed. My thoughts, prayers, and love go out to his family. Rest easy brother. You will always be in my heart.
