Cristobal M. Encina Jr., age 81, was born on August 18, 1920, in Laredo, TX. He went to be with Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2002, after a short illness. He graduated from Lanier High School and was an all around sports athlete. He retired from Swift Independent Packing Company after 34 years of loyal service. He also owned and operated Luigi's Drive-In for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Paula M. Encina; father, Cristobal A. Encina Sr.; brothers, Ignacio Encina and Pedro Encina; and step-son, Joe O. Sanchez Jr. He was a loving, caring husband, and father who has left a Big void in our hearts. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Lucille Ochoa Encina; daughter, Rosemary Ochoa Encina; son, Louie Ochoa Encina; brother, Enrique Encina; sister, Olivia E. Morin and numerous nieces and nephews.
