Crystal Jean Duarte

Crystal Jean Duartes love of life didnt come to an end with her sudden and untimely passing. Crystal, better known as "Jean", gained her wings and joined our good Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 34, after her strong-will carried her through a hard-fought battle, surrounded by family and friends who will continue to honor her legacy by living each day of their lives to the fullest, just as Jean did.

The simplest pleasures in life brought Jean great joy. She loved quiet nights in with family, as much as she loved nights out with friends listening to country music and dancing the night away with her favorite jeans and cowgirl boots on. She was a die-hard volleyball Mom and was well-known as being the San Antonio STARS volleyball clubs biggest cheerleader and #1 fan. In her spare time, she loved baking, crafting, and playing with her "baby," her boxer, Faith.

Her laugh, energy, and free spirit were contagious to everyone she met. She found a way of making every situation light-hearted and fun.

She was preceded in death by, her grandparents, Sandra Greenwell, Leonila Solis, Maria Huerta, Enrique Huerta; and nephew, John Elliotte Martinez.

Crystal is survived by her husband, Daniel Duarte; step-daughters, Araceli Duarte, Addison Duarte; mother, Carol (Samuel) Vasquez; father, Steve (Maribel) Solis; siblings, Abigail Solis, Stephanie (Jorge) Martinez, Natasha (John) Martinez, Christopher Segura; grand-fathers, Esteban Solis and Carlos Ramos; in-laws, David (Susan) Duarte, Sr., David (Amber) Duarte, Jr., Jennifer (Vincent) Rios; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.

The family will receive friends and extended family from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 9th at Porter Loring Mortuary West.

Family does ask that black attire not be worn, but rather to represent Jean by wearing jeans and boots.
