Crystal Phelisia Westbrook, sunrise on May 30, 1980 in Albion, Michigan to sunset on November 6, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Tony and Verena Westbrook and was the 3rd of four children. She immediately won hearts with her bright smile, quiet temperament and soft and loving personality, thus giving her the nickname early in life as “Teddy Bear.” Now as cute as the teddy bear personality was it gave way to her pre-teen years where she quickly developed an art with words, love for writing and self-appointed title as “protector” for her family and friends. You could see her tuning in to her favorite television heroine “Zena- the Warrior Princess” with twinkles in her eyes. Her story was filled with whimsical romance novels, entertaining in song and dance for her loved ones and tons of acts of generosity that she showered on all she met. Though she persevered for 19 years through health struggles; her passion for life, love, and laughter never dimmed. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Eddie and Helen Washington, paternal grandfather Ernest Westbrook, uncle Jesse Washington, aunt Wanda Taylor, and cousins Phoebe and Wanda Taylor. She is survived by her parents Tony and Verena Westbrook, son Cameron Westbrook, siblings: Verena Westbrook, Shaminka Willis, Tony (Daidree) Westbrook II, Victor (Stephanie) Westbrook II; maternal grandmother Elsie Westbrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving guests at Love Family Worship Center, 7500 Eckhert Rd suite# 420; on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. with a Homegoing Celebration at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow Sunset Memorial Park.
