
Mr. Lightfoot was born September 5, 1909, in Dublin, Texas, to Frank Leslie and Alice Jaynes Lightfoot.
He was a graduate of Waco High School and Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
He was married to Elsie Gertrude Burr on November 14, 1936, in Houston, Texas, that lasted fifty years prior to her untimely death, February 14, 1987, in an automobile accident.
Mr. Lightfoot retired from BP Corporation as a Staff Accountant in 1969. He served with the 1687th Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II.
A former member of Trinity Baptist Church, San Antonio, played the drums in the Senior Adult Silver Strings Ukulele Band, and also played the Xylophone at Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities.
He is survived by his sister Marguerite Lightfoot Drury of San Antonio and a number of nieces and nephews.
By God's grace, his youngest sister, Norma Lightfoot Gardner McDaniel, joined him on this journey on Friday, August 20, 2010 and they will have a joint funeral service.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
