Cynthia Marshall, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 29, 1938, in Trinidad & Tobago. Cynthia was a beloved mother to 10 children, grandmother to 41 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 45 great-grandchildren, great-great grandmother to 3 great-great grandchildren (Genesis 1:28), and a friend to many. Cynthia dedicated her life to helping others as a health care worker, always putting the needs of others before her own (Matthew 25:36).
Cynthia was known for her kind and compassionate nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a prayer warrior, finding solace, joy and strength in her faith. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with family and friends. In her free time, Cynthia enjoyed gardening, cultivating beautiful flowers and plants that brought joy to all who visited her home. Her green thumb was truly a sight to behold, and she took great pride in her garden.
Being the first child of 5 siblings she inherited and enjoyed the art of cooking. Her cooking skills were expanded and became very innovative, raising 5 boys and 5 girls on a very limited budget. Cynthia loved sharing her gift for cooking, as she would always prepare large meals “just in case someone comes by there is enough to feed them”. (Isaiah 58:10)
Cynthia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved and cherished by many.
