Known affectionately as "D-Rae" and "Daci" to family and friends, Dacion was known for his love of all types of music, PC gaming, comics, thrifting, and UFC. In recent years, he had also discovered a passion for working out and was dedicated to improving himself through fitness and personal growth. He found strength and comfort in his faith in God and Jesus Christ, which guided him throughout his life. He had a kind heart, a unique sense of humor, and a beautiful smile that could light up a room. He brought laughter and joy to those around him, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Dacion graduated from Veterans Memorial High School in 2024 and worked at Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions, where his coworkers affectionately nicknamed him "Mighty Mouse" for his hardworking spirit, determination, and willingness to help others.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carlos Fernandez.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel Fernandez and Irene Rodriguez; his paternal grandmother, Roseann Fernandez; his maternal grandparents, Jesus and Patricia Oliva; his brothers, Christian Daniel Rosas-Fernandez, Javanni Gabriel Fernandez, and Savai Lucas Fernandez; his nephew, Sebastian Rosas-Fernandez; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though his time with us was far too short, Dacion's love, laughter, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends for a viewing from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
