Dahlia M Gonzales

Dahlia M. Gonzales was born on September 9, 1938, to loving parents, Jose G. Martinez and Juanita H. Martinez. She entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories she created throughout her life.

Dahlia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family. She shared 30 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Miguel C. Gonzales and she was a loving mother to her son, Juan Escalante, and took great pride in her family and the generations that followed. Dahlia was blessed with four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert H. Martinez and his wife, Evangelia; and her sisters, Elvira Ramirez, Yolanda Vasquez, and Angelita Acevedo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Dahlia had a beautiful sense of style and loved wearing colorful Mexican dresses, which reflected her vibrant personality and cultural pride. She also loved dancing and enjoyed the happiness and togetherness that came from being surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, joyful spirit, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Dahlia is reunited in heaven with her husband; Miguel C. Gonzales, her parents, Jose G. Martinez and Juanita H. Martinez, as well as other beloved family members.

Though she has left this earthly life, Dahlia’s memory will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will be cherished forever.

May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord.

A Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:15 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery; 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.

All family and friends are kindly asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:00 am so the service can begin on time.
