PFC Dakota Carrington Crider, USA, born October 15, 1986, in Clovis, New Mexico, unexpectedly passed away December 10, 2008, in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 22. He was a 2004 graduate of Crockett High School in Austin, Texas.
In 2006, Dakota enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to the Company B, 3rd Battalion, 320th Artillery Field, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Dakota had just recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq.
A very loving and special son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend and soldier, Dakota will be dearly missed.
Dakota is survived by his father, Terry Crider and wife, Donna; mother, Belinda Tristan; siblings, Joshua Tristan, Maria and Martin Gomez; paternal grandmother, Lucy Watson; maternal grandmother, Marie Gomez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
