Dale was best known for facing all aspects of life head on and on her own terms. She worked as an accountant in various industries, but primarily oil and gas. Dale brought to accounting an old-school knowledge of putting pencil to paper with a sharp eye for detail. She carried that knowledge to her home life maintaining a strict budget and the ability to squeeze every penny out of a dollar.
Dale had many challenges in her personal life facing many years on her own but finding her true love later in life with James Burns of Brackettville, TX. James was a Naval Veteran and served in a civilian capacity at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, TX. While they did not have length of time, Dale and James enjoyed quality years together in love and friendship. Dale was a good yet imperfect person, as we all are. She had a sharp sense of humor, she was sarcastic, and enjoyed a good laugh. Dale enjoyed crafts in needlepoints, knitting, and crossword puzzles.
Later in life, Dale suffered from Alzheimer’s Dementia, landing her in an Assisted Living Community in Uvalde, TX, where she quickly made many friends. Dale is survived by her brother Thomas Bryan and his family of Abilene, TX; sister Loraine Farschman and her family of Dallas, TX; twin daughters, Diana and Donna Chorn of San Antonio, TX; and son Kenneth Chorn and his family of Abilene, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burns; mother and father, Chapple and Loraine Bryan; and brother-in-law Jack Farschman.
While slight in stature, Dale was bigger than life and she will be sorely missed.
