You will be sorely missed, for your humor touched many lives.

I will always remember the great times we had together. He made everyone laugh. He had such a big beautiful smile. I was blessed to have known him since middle school. I will miss him so much. His memory will live on forever in my heart. I love you Damian, you were a great friend.

I just found out, today, about Damian, and while I'm still trying to process this news, I'm finding it very difficult to imagine not having this amazing person around. I've known Damien since I was in 1st grade, and kept our friendship going through his most recent move to Spain. I will always remember him for his infectious smile, infinite kindness, and brilliant intelligence. My heart goes out to the Guevara family. Know that I will always keep your family in my thoughts and prayers, and am here if you need anything.

Damian touched so many people in Cleveland, where he never lacked for an invitation to a holiday weekend barbecue, a Super Bowl party or an Easter or Thanksgiving dinner when he couldn't make it home to San Antonio.

And when it came to hospitality, Damian always reciprocated. He was the kind of guy who reached into his own pockets to buy a keg of Great Lakes beer and a pinata for a birthday party. He was the kind of guy to order a couple of pizzas and have you over to watch his Spurs beat our Cavs in the NBA Finals.

Damian had a rule during these watch parties: No talking, only watching. It was a tough rule to follow, because
if you couldn't carry a conversation with Damian, you weren't trying. He could talk politics, music, sports, spirituality, philosophy, pop culture, beer, cinema - all with a genuine passion. Similarly, he showed his affection and love for his family and friends in so many warm and endearing ways: a hug, a high five, a fist pump, a nickname. And, of course, his laugh.

We'll forever be grateful for Damian's friendship.

Damian and I always challenged ourselves in the track and even though I wasn't any match, he always made me feel like I had a chance.  He was competitive but kind, growing up knowing him was a blessing.

Dear Homer and Angie,
My wife and I will be praying for you and your family. Parents should not have to bury their children. Just know that God has a plan for all of us and our rewards will be in heaven.

My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the family.  I went to school with Damian from Elementary to Middle School and can say that Damian had an infectious friendship toward anyone who knew him.  He always had a smile and yes..his laugh was ongoing and contageous!  
Damian, may you rest in peace and God Bless your family during this difficult time, you will never be forgotten~~~

I remember Damian as a great guy who was an inspiration in all that he accomplished. Though our paths went separate ways he always remained in my heart as my very dear friend. Thank you Damian for always being my inspiration, I pray that you are at peace, you will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss. My prayers and condolences to the Guevara Family.

I've just known him for one year, but one hour was enough for me to know he was really worth it. Both kids and teachers loved him at CEIP Francisco de Quevedo, I can't remember how many times my mother-in-law (teacher María) has told me how much they appreciate him because of the way he was and the way he behaved around the pupils. 

Everytime he was around, I could feel how he loved what he was doing, even more than lots of teachers. He played the big bad wolf for Year 3 students, and I had the chance to see it, laughing quietly so they didn't notice.

Only one month ago, I saw him again in Madrid. He went to see the kids on his day off, as we were visiting the Prado Museum. 

I will treasure our conversations during the break, I will treasure your smile and I will treasure our recently-discovered friendship.

My prayers are with the family. I loved Damian just like a son. He will always be remembered by all just because of his smile. I saw him grow up to be a very professional man filled with love for music and books. May you rest in peace you will never be forgotten by those who loved you mijo. Te Quiero  tu Tia Ana

I had the pleasure of meeting Damian when I was 11 years old. We took guitar lessons together and I will always remember how when the rest of the class were still learning chords, we'd be in our own space, jamming on heavy metal riffs. He did teach me the intro to Metallica's "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", among others. Damian will be missed by everyone as a dear friend, brother, uncle, son and husband, but not forgotten. Play on!

I was never one for much words ,I left that to Damian.  He was an eloquent speaker and when he spoke people listened.  He had the ability to take any subject and make it sound fascinating and intriguing, he would hook you.  His love of literature was an obsession I leaned of him early in life.  He once told me "it doesn't matter what you read just read you will be a better person for it". When I first met Damian,I was on the field of play as his opponent.  I knew then that he was a fierce competitor.  I knew then I wanted to be his teammate.  And as his teammate he was my captain. He was as another friend, Raul Lopez quoted " a true renaissance man". My captain I bid farewell but never forgotten.

Damian. What else can be said that hasn't been said already? I have know Damian for most of my life and I have become a fixture to his immediate family...the 5th Beatle as I'm referred to often. After Damian left San Antonio, we always kept in touch. I visited him a number of times and even attended his wedding two years ago.  As the years went by I became closer to his little brother, Tom and his family and will continue to do so. Rest in peace my birthday brother. I'll never forget you. I love you....See you on the other side.

Damian was and still is my cousin, he was only two years older than I was so we spent quite a bit of our childhood together. The one thing that stands out to me is his laugh, he had a very infectious laugh and no matter how  you were feeling he could always change your mood. I will forever miss him and his memory will forever be in my heart! Te quiero, Primo!!

The Damian I remember was a vibrant young man back in high school. He was a nice guy and a great son. May you rest knowing that he was a good man. My condolences to the entire Guevara family.
