I must attach mine to all the other wonderful tributes about this man. There are few people that I admired as much as I did Dan personally and occupationally. Not many reach out to all as Dan did. It seemed there were no limits for him when someone needed his help. I continue to pray for him, though the soul of a man like Dan probably doesn't need any. 
I will miss him.

I was out of the country for three weeks at an Olave Baden-Powell Society meeting and was shocked when I returned to learn of this tragic accident. Words can't express the shock and sorrow that is felt deep in my heart. My daughter Kami, an eager new Daisy leader, just took her training from Dan on May 8 and is also so sorrowful. I know your great faith will get you through this, but please know that I and my family are praying for you every day and share your grief.

I always felt a little bad for Dan being the only man at our service unit get togethers. I would seek him out to talk about shifting structures at work and the trials and tribulations of federal contracting. He was always more than happy to discuss these topics but our conversation would always shift back to scouting and the girls and how could he help us out. We'll miss you Dan! Susan and Jennifer

Mr. Williamson humbly answered all work related or otherwise questions without hesitation for me?he was a true mentor. I always called him Mr. Williamson even when he insisted on being just Dan. He is a remarkable soul, an example to follow, and one I?ll never forget. At any angle he was fervently seeking to help or improve a situation. What matter of man takes on all that is before him? Do you know after solving a structural quandary for me, he helped me fix the copier machine to insure I got good prints? His attention to detail on the ?little things? that most folks disregard ?far exceed any great thing that anyone has ever done for me. My sincere condolences to your family on the loss of a loving humanitarian.

I never knew a more personable Engineer. Dan was always a pleasure to be around and to work with. He never displayed a different level of interest whether talking with the boss or with you. He will surely be missed not only by his associates, but all who came in contact with him.

To the Williamson family, I was stationed at Lackland AFB from 2002-2004 and worked with Dan on design team 3. Dan was a true professional who always helped me and the team whenever we had a question. At the time I just had my first child and I remember him telling me the story of how his daughter loved to watch the weather channel inorder to get back to sleep at night. My deepest sympathy to you all.

I enjoyed working Twilight camp with Dan and will miss his sense of humor and commitment to the scouts and to the volunteer staff. You and your family are in my prayers.

Your love for Dan and his love for you and God's love for you both will see you through.

Dan was a great friend and a very professional peer. We worked together on quite a few projects at Lackland AFB. It was a shock to hear about this tragedy. My prayers and condolencies go to his family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Williamson, on Saturday 12 May, at Habitat, and for I got to see, Dan was a beautifull human being with a heart of gold. Although his departure sadens us, my heart beleives that heaven has gained an angel with Dan's soul. My condolences to his family and friends, May the Lord Bless you!

Every thought and memory pointed out that Dan was a loving and faithful servant of God. Perhaps God takes good men early to give us cause to reflect on their lives, and try to serve God as they did. I had the pleasure of being one of the first people to meet Dan, since I was responsible during the hiring process in Civil Engineering at Lackland AFB. I thank God for the pleasure of knowing and working with Dan. Dan exemplified Christ daily, in everything he did. Dan, or as I knew him, Lizard was a wonderful teacher. I had the opportunity to watch him teach at Girl Scout camp Mira Sol, one week. He taught, but the girls never thought it was teachingsince you know they wouldn't have listened if it was. He was passionate about his subject and the girls were excited to listen since it felt like story telling. He made sure he answered all the questions, no matter how long or off the subject they were. He was patient and kind and I always enjoyed his stories. Girl Scouts have lost a great teacher and we will miss him dearly. I send Fishy and her family my deepest sympathy and will keep them in my prayers.

I have good memories of good times. Lots of adventures. Always fun. You could count on Dan. He was game for anything that was legal. He even laughed at my jokes. What a guy! An inspiration. Too few like him.

When we were a part of the UUMC Santuary Usher team a few years back, Dan provided us with much needed direction and encouragement. He was a great leader and we enjoyed being a part of his team. I know Dan only through his daughter, Kelli. I am a student with her at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas and serve two United Methodist churches in Carthage, Texas. Dan was a great friend and Wilford Hall lunch buddy. Our discussions went from work, church, family, and occassional corny jokes. He will be deeply missed for his friendship and engineering support! My condolences and prayers go out to the Williamson family.

When I came to Lackland, a little more than a year ago, Dan said that it was the greatest place to work, that everyone was friendly and helpful. I was really scared coming into a new job in a new city and knowing no one. What I learned later was that he was one of the important reasons it was that way. He shared his joy, his knowledge and perspective, and I'm wiser person and hopefully a kinder person because I met him.

Dan and his family represent the love and caring of Jesus Christ. I first knew Dan as a dedicate father and a generous "Girl Scout." I was glad to reconnect with him at the church. For some reason I have been singing the this song all week, "Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky. All is well, safely rest. All is nigh. Dear Precious Family of Dan... 
I will so miss seeing Dan every Sunday as I enter the Sanctuary...a ready smile, a genuine Hello when he was not "on duty and in charge of our Ushers Team....and when he was on duty, a paper and pencil in his hand as he jotted down the numbers, made the assignments, covered the missing slots without ever being "upset" or angry with the folks unable to be there. And, the only time he really, really pridefully shared the elements of his personal life was when he talked of his Daughters...whether they had been camping, Girl Scouts, attending outstanding classes at the Universities, being accepted into the "Theological world", etc. and to comminserate with his wife following her all night bouts taking care of others' taxes. I know your are with the Lord, Dan, but I will miss you so.
