Daniel G. Belfort, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 4, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 16, 1961, in Burt, Michigan, Daniel’s life was defined by generosity, warmth, and a gift for building genuine connections.
Daniel shared 44 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Veronica C. Belfort. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and open doors for all who entered. He leaves behind his daughter Corina M. Ramos, son-in-law Andrew J. Ramos, and cherished grandchildren Hannah N. and Matthew J. Ramos, who were the light of his life. His quick wit, timely wisdom, and ability to make any moment special will be deeply missed.
Daniel endured the loss of his son, Joshua D. Belfort, and his brother, Guillermo Belfort Jr., with remarkable strength and faith. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Guillermo and Frances Belfort, and his brothers Alfredo (Fred), David, Ricardo (Ricky), Edward (Eddie), and Robert Belfort, along with a large extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Daniel spent over 40 years mastering his craft and mentoring others within the electrical profession, both literally and figuratively illuminating the path for others. His profession expertise was matched only by his ability to create lasting friendships which became the cornerstone of his career and life.
From an early love of playing baseball with his brothers to coaching softball in local church leagues, he reflected his love of teamwork and community. His legendary enthusiasm for Texas barbecue, especially the perfect brisket, often turned into joyful family adventures. But above all, his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren, teaching them, cheering them on, and making memories filled with laughter.
Daniel lived his Christian faith in action, embodying compassion, generosity, and kindness. His encouragement inspired others and his thoughtful presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
As we remember Daniel, we celebrate a life filled with love, humor, friendship, and faith. His example calls us to cherish every encounter, share laughter freely, and love without reservation. Though he is no longer with us, the light of his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.
