Mr. Castro found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, playing cards, watching western movies and listening to music. He found great delight in spending quality time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis T. Castro and Celia Prado Castro; brothers, David Castro and Benjamin Castro.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria D. Castro; children, Daniel Castro Jr., Arthur Castro and Rita Castro; grandchildren, Arthur Jr., April, Alyssa, Mariah and Mila; great grandchildren, A'lijah, Aniyah, Ariyah, Arthur III and Alonso; siblings, Gloria Black, Evangelina Gamez, Luis Castro, Irene Moreno and Lily Hernandez; aunts, Beatrice Munoz, Mary Ellen Nejo and Lupe Sauceda; also, numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Victor Rodriguez Jr, Jesse Villegas Jr, Arthur Castro Jr, Luis Dacosta Jr, Arthur Castro, and Daniel Castro Jr.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m, Monday, June 22, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78226. Services will conclude at the church.
