

Daniel G. Flores, 61, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in San Antonio to Adolfo and Agustina Flores, Danny carried with him a deep love for his roots and the people who shaped his life.
Danny will always be remembered for his quick wit, his generous heart, and his ability to make any moment brighter. He loved to laugh, to gather with friends and family, and to turn even the simplest occasions into something special.
After graduating from South San High School, Danny built a proud career as a receiving manager at H‑E‑B. He was known for his reliability, his strong work ethic, and the respect he showed to everyone he worked with.
Outside of work, Danny was happiest doing the things he loved most—cheering on his San Francisco 49ers and Texas A&M Aggies, or spending time at JJ’s Tavern, where he formed lasting friendships. He enjoyed finding ways to bring people together, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Above all, Danny’s greatest joy was his family. He lived his life with love, generosity, and a sense of humor that carried him—and those around him—through every challenge. His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and the reminder to find joy in each day.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adolfo Flores; his brother, Manuel Flores; his brother-in-law, Danny Hatol; and his father-in-law, Santos Losoya.
He is survived by, MaryEllen, the mother of his children; his children, Matthew Reyes and wife, Gloria Reyes; Savannah Castaneda and husband, David Castaneda, and Stacey Aguilar and husband, Raymond Aguilar; and his six cherished grandchildren, Gianna, Gisella, Maximo, Laurel, Jacob, and Benjamin, who will continue to carry his love forward.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 17th at 5pm at Trevino Funeral Home located at 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. Burial will take place at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military, San Antonio, Texas 78214, on June 18, 2026. All friends and family are welcome to attend and share their favorite memories.
