

Daniel O’Brien Guzman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on September 15, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on August 28, 1948, in Austin, Texas, Daniel lived a full and rich life, grounded in family, faith and the simple joys of nature.
Daniel had a passion for gardening, often spending hours in his yard tending to his plants. He found peace in fishing and joy in barbecuing, where he loved gathering with family and friends for good food and shared laughter. Above all, Daniel cherished spending time with family, who were the center of his world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catarino A. Guzman and Susie O’Brien Guzman, as well as his brothers Alexandro, Stephen and Richard Guzman.
Daniel is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Anna M. Guzman, who stood by his side in both quiet and lively moments of his life. He leaves behind his loving children: Daniel S. Guzman (Sulema), Gilbert S. Guzman (Janice), stepson Everett Guerra (Amy), daughter Lisa Fuller (Mark), stepdaughters Leticia Rangel, Elizabeth Guerra and Jennifer Cearns- Pena (Stephanie). His legacy also lives on through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
His grandchildren, Jessica, Alejandro, Leticia, Marysol, Daniella, Katherine, Alyssa, Roy, Miranda, Mark, Destiny, Angelica, Jessica, Gilbert, Hillore, Hunter, Logan, Ryleigh, Elijah, Kylie, Gabriella, Jacob and Jackson, along with his great-grandchildren Luciana, Gabriella, Isabella, DeAngelo, Julian, Olivia, Benjamin, Dannie, Wesley, Carter, Mason, Quinn, Amory, Autumn, Aisley, Aaron, Karizma, Jazlynn, Lilah, Elias, and Roman, will always remember the warmth and love that defined their relationships with him.
Daniel is also survived by his siblings Yolanda Mares, Robert Guzman, Angie Johndrow, and David Guzman, along with numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Visitation will be held on September 30, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Tx, 78237. The following day, October 1, 2024, our doors will open at 8:00 am, we will then go in procession for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd.,San Antonio, Tx, 78251. He will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78209.
