He attended the University of Texas at Austin and in 1958 joined the Marine Corps Reserves and served until 1964.
Following military service, he established Main Avenue Enterprises and was the proprietor of the sports bar, Tiffanys, a long time landmark on San Pedro Avenue.
Danny is preceded in death by his two sons, Scott and Ricki Levinson. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Elizabeth; children: Alexa Raye, Taylor Lynn, Jake Austin of San Antonio; Samuel of Ames, Iowa and Kimberly Sue and her husband, Oscar Iglesias of Los Angeles.
