He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio & Luz Maria Macias and in laws, Jose & Eva Serenil.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Jo Macias; children, Melissa Martinez (Garry); Celsa Aleman (Angel), Daniel Macias Jr. (Janie); grandchildren, Jeremy Martinez (Ailynn), Lyric Tudyk (Benjamin), Jordan Martinez, Haven Alvarez, Jayden Martinez (Madalyn); Josh Aiden Mejia, Jake Marcelo Macias, AJ, Isaac and Jacob Aleman; great grandchildren, Landon, Alaia, Iris, Callie, Iver, Leo and another blessing on the way. Danny is also survived by his brothers, Tony, Sammy, Richard and Michael.
Danny loved traveling and he frequently traveled to New York and he looked foward to his annual Las Vegas Trips. He was a passionate fan of The Dallas Cowboys and The New York Yankees, and was always excited to see his favorite team at their home stadium. When he was younger he enjoyed playing softball every weekend, then began attending his childrens games. He loved listening to music of all genres, including Pepe Marquez, The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire and Santana and he enjoyed watching CNN daily. Above all else he loved his family and spending every moment with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, his love grew stronger with every generation. He built a strong family foundation and his family will continue to live through him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, a Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
