I knew Danny 40 years ago in the military. He was well liked by the troops and his superiors. He had an apartment off post in Germany and often hosted soldiers on the holidays who couldn’t go home. He had one of the first VCR’s and would have soldiers over to watch videos. He made friends among the local Germans and was a big donor towards the local animal shelter, helping them to their goal of a new cat facility. He was generous and caring towards others, and always there to lend a hand. He was seriously injured in a fall from a second story window that curtailed his military career. He rotated to Denver for medical care and tried to stay on in the military but he was living with constant back pain. He used his VA to go to college and start a new life outside of the military. He touched everyone he came in contact with and left a lasting impression. He was devoted to his family and friends, and is sorely missed by many. 

He was a very great man and was very loving and kind and always took care of his family and loved ones. He will be very greatly missed!

I was married to Dan a long time ago and even though that didn't work out, he will always hold a very special place in my heart. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones. I was very sad to learn of his passing.

I know this is 3 months late but I just found out I met Dan over 30 years ago in El Paso Texas he was the one who was to become my son's God father I was blessed to be able to know him very well over the course of time and I loved him for who he was Dan will be missed be my self and my 3 children Amy, Buddy and David  I pray that there is peace in the hearts of those left behind and that there is comfort in the knowledge that he is with the Lord

My deepest condolences to Danny's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. When I was notified about his passing, I started looking for an obituary online, which I've found here. I'm sad that I missed his services, but am sure he had a great sendoff. Danny and I met in high school where he was a great friend. I remember him joining the military service and I'm sorry to say that we lost track of each other from that point. In reading the posts in this memory book, I can see that he never lost the big heart he had. Rest in the peace of the Lord, Danny. May God bless your family.

I am Haily Dolar Eli Rogers niece and i met dan many years ago and i will say he was an amazing person with a huge heart .. dan you and your wacky sence of humor will be missed.

Dan was an amazing friend and farther figure to Eli, myself and our kids, he would do anything for anyone if it was within his power to do so. He had a heart of gold but was dealt a hard hand to play but you would never hear him complain. He loved his family dearly especially his mum Josie and I send my deepest and most sincere condolences to them all. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love him. Sweet dreams Dan rest in peace my friend THANKYOU for everything you did and said to help Eli, myself and Sophie and George. We Love you. xxxx

Hi  I met Dan  many years ago off of a game we both were on.  From that point our friendship grew.   Dan  was my best friend.  He was like a brother/father.  We where always on talking to each other every day. We were there for each other good or bad.  Dan was there when Marion our two kid Sophie an George came back into my life as well as getting engaged.  Dan helped me keep my word when it came to my kids and Marion.  He made sure I did everything I could to take care of them.  If I didn't he would yell at me. Dan would always say Eli  TAKE CARE OF YOUR KIDS AND MARION!!!!.  Dan always yelled at me for something or  he spent his time trying to get me in trouble with Marion or his mother or anyone else  he could.  That was  the way we where always finding ways to get each other in trouble.  I would come up with different plans and Dan was the one who would find way to say it would not work or no that is not going to happen. Lol   well Dan  you won this one.  You got out of winning the lottery. Me popping over, coming to my wedding with a shotgun in hand. Lol   you are and will always be my best friend and your wrong about one thing Dan.  When it was your time a lot of people missed you.  I told you little buddy.  you where loved by all that you touched and new.    Your always going to be in the hearts of  me, Marion, Sophie, George, Kim and chad.  Will love you and miss you Dan.  Will see you in the after life buddy. Keep laughing.

i am eli rogers mom kim, i first met dan several years ago when eli was talking to him on skype. it was then i first called him danny boy lol. he didnt really like being called that but i told him i liked it and thats what i wanted to call him lol. so from that day on he was danny boy. even though we never met in person dan was apart of our house hold every day! if eli wasnt sitting at his desk he was carrying danny boy around on his phone while they were on skype. dan was so much loved here in our house. now our house is silent! he was a fantastic man! eli and dan had such a funny friend ship aways laughing and jokeing! i miss hearing u danny boy! god bless u. ur with jesus now. just keep an eye on ur mom and my eli and marion please, ur r so much loved here,and always forever will be.
