

Daniel served his country in the Army's 37th Constabulary Squadron in Bad Schwalbach, Germany during WWII. He later worked for O'Krent Flooring for 40 years and was a very talented craftsman.
He loved Polka dancing with his wife, going to the casinos, barbequing and volunteering at his church when he was able. Daniel was a devout Catholic and was very faithful in attending Adoration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 63 years, who he adored, Gertrude Urbanski Pierdolla; son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Cynthia Pierdolla of San Antonio; daughter Karen Pierdolla of San Antonio; and daughter and son-in-law Donna and Michael Sohn of New Braunfels; sister, Martha Durr of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren, Amanda and Melissa Pierdolla and Garrett and Cullen Sohn and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst in San Antonio, Texas from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015, also at St. Gregory's with Father Rudy T. Carrola, Jr., Celebrant.
Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road.
