

He was a very generous man who helped anyone and everyone he could. As an artist, his favorite subject was landscapes, and his medium was watercolors.
He loved old cars and fishing. He was lucky with scratch cards and loved to play. He also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Genevieve Polendo; his brother, Richard Polendo; grandmother, Ernestina Zavala; his aunt, Lupe Cavazos and uncle, Raymond Zavala.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sylvia F. Polendo; their children: Nadine Stone, Daniel Polendo, Jennifer Polendo, Jason Polendo, Jaclyn Brown and Janel Polendo; ten (10) grandchildren and his brother, Ray Polendo. He was a deeply loved and will be missed by all those lives he touched.
On Thursday, April 30th visitation will begin at 3:00 PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
On Friday, May 1st a procession will depart Porter Loring at 11:00 AM for an 11:30 AM Mass of the Resurrection at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo, San Antonio, TX 78225 followed by interment in San Fernando Cemetery II.
