Daniel Vasquez Traspeña was born January 3, 1937 in Pachuca Hidalgo, Mexico. He entered God’s kingdom on July 10, 2020 in San Antonio, TX., at the age of 83yrs. Daniel came into the States at a young age of 15yrs old. He then learned the skill of sewing and soon became a Tailor. A profession he mastered and accomplished for over 60yrs. He owned his own tailor shop “Danny’s Tailor Shop” for over 30yrs where he created wonders from scratch to simple alterations. He worked at numerous stores and worked from home as well. His last job was at Neiman Marcus. His clientele was enormous with many regulars and he had the privilege of altering for: George Strait, David Robinson, Sunny Ozuna, Elida y Avante, Ram Herrera, movie actors from Mexico and many more throughout the years. Daniel was also involved in his church community of St. John Berchmans’ for over 40yrs. He served on Festival committees, Dance committees, Money Counting team, Usher, Knights of Columbus, Ultreya and other events where they needed his help. He loved his church community and gained many lifelong friends. Daniel was married to his loving wife Delia for 56yrs, an eternity of love. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, classy dress style, his faith, the love he shared and his humble heart. Daniel is preceded in death by his sons: Daniel Traspeña, Jr. & Jesus Daniel Traspeña. Survived by his wife Delia E. Traspeña. His sister in Pachuca Hidalgo, Mexico: Angela Salgado. Children: Dean Michael Traspeña(wife Frances), Lisa Denise Schexnayder (husband Danny Ray), Elsa Chavarria, and Maria de los Angeles Peña (husband Joe Jr.). Grandchildren: Ashlee Nicole, Michael Dean (wife Abigail), Justine Michelle, Francisco Miguel, Laura Elena, Nicholas Aaron, Joseph Henry, Daniel Anthony, Jessica, Jennifer and Jorge. Great Grandchildren: Noah James, Elias Mateo, Shannon, Steven Jr., Roxandra, and Jesse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in the States & Mexico. There will be a Private viewing for the family. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 31st, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2610 Perez St. at 10:15am. Interment to follow at San Fernando #3. The Mass will be viewable through Facebook Live @aamomentwithchrist.
