She was an active member of Precept Upon Precept and Verse by Verse Bible Study Groups. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends.
For four years, was a devout member of Wayside Chapel.
Dannie had earned her Doctorate in nutrition, was a great artist, published author, and pianist. She enjoyed playing piano for local nursing homes and churches.
Dannie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Sykes, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Richardson and step son Henry A. Sykes III and; loving grandchildren: Danee, Ross, Katrina, Lynn, Michael and Brian; 13 great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those she touched throughout her life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
