Darleen Hardy passed away into the arms of Jesus on January 19, 2014. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Darleen was born on November 12, 1930 in the small town of Nixon, Texas. After graduating from Nixon High School, she attended Southwest Texas State University for two years, then began working at a bank in San Antonio. She married Miles Henry Hardy on August 18, 1956. They were married for 57 years. She volunteered for many years with the Methodist Hospital Bluebirds in the mail and flowers department. She loved eating out and spending time with family and friends. Darleen is survived by her daughters, Joni and Julie, and two granddaughters, Rebekah and Sarah. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 9:30 am at Sunset Memorial Park. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church in San Antonio.
