

On Friday, January 3, 2014 Darlene Kay Isenberg entered eternal peace. Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Desire Isenberg, age 6 weeks in 1987 and her father, Lynn Kenneth Ambrose the same year.
Mrs. Isenberg is survived by her husband, Joe Alan Isenberg Jr.; two sons, Joe Alan Isenberg III, Kyle Alexander Isenberg; her mother, Betty (Woolridge) Ambrose; brothers, David Lee Ambrose, Pete Ambrose; and sister, Linda. She was a devoted grandmother to Madyson Isenberg, Raegyn Isenberg and Jayden Fulkerson.
Darlene was born at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 19, 1962. She was raised in Georgia and Florida. She graduated from Port St. Joe High School in 1980 and attended business college afterward. In 1984, Darlene married Joe Isenberg and moved to Texas where she enjoyed a long career in the travel industry. She began her career working for S.A.T.O. Travel in the mid 1980s. Later, she joined Teleservice Resources, a subsidiary of American Airlines and was later recruited by American Express Corporate Travel where she enjoyed 16 years as a reservationist, travel counselor, team leader, customer service representative and travel resolutions. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, strength and endurance.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will take at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Shockley officiating. Services will conclude in the chapel.
