She was born December 22, 1933, in Menan, Idaho, to the late Alma Edwin and Lucy Sellers Casper.
Darlene lived in California for 35 years before moving to San Antonio in 1988, to help begin a successful family business. However, of all the accomplishments in her life, the greatest was the deep love and nurturing she had for her late husband of 37 years, William Stewart Newbold, Sr. and their 10 children. She loved the Christmas season and was a devoted member of LDS Church.
Darlene is survived by her children, W. Stewart Newbold, Jr., Bick Newbold, Shauna McCormack, Brent Newbold, Sharlene Thum, Denise Aly, Stephanie Hamberg, Bryan Newbold, Kent Newbold and Melanie Hernandez; sisters, Louella and Lila; 17 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
