Dad spent 7 years in the United States Army working as a Finance Specialist and later in his military career as an Accounting Specialist. He spent another 34 years working for the Army as an Accounting Technician, Budget Analyst, Budget Officer, and Program Analyst, where he was known for his extensive financial knowledge of Department of Defense Financial Management Regulations and Army Regulations in the development, management, and execution of appropriated funds entrusted to the federal agency where he worked. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions.
Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity. No matter what federal agency he worked for during his career, he always wanted to make it better when he left than when he arrived. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Dad's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed and loved building, repairing and upgrading computers for family, friends, and neighbors, teaching Microsoft Office software programs. Dads love of fishing both fresh-water and salt-water fishing was something he shared with his family.
We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever leaving a mark on us that will never fade...
