Darren Joe Lochridge

Darren was born in Houston, TX on September 17, 1965 to Joe Cooper Lochridge and Caroline Kubala Lochridge. He married Kimberlee on July 29, 1989 in Lubbock, TX. Shortly after they married, they moved to San Antonio, TX.

Darren graduated from Stratford High School in Houston, TX in 1984. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management in 1989 from Texas Tech University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

Darren started his career as a manager at Bill Miller Barbecue. He spent almost 20 years at Enterprise, where he worked his way up to Reconditioning Manager. He was working for Domino's Pizza at the time of his death.

Darren was a staunch conservative who loved to debate politics. He also loved to rave about his wife, her cooking, and his cats.

Darren was preceded in death by his grandparents Jerome and Frances Kubala and Cooper and Zava Lochridge, father Joe, his father-in-law Terry Quiroga, his aunt Fran Morgan, his uncle James (Froggy) Williams, and his cousin Tim Gubbels.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, sisters Laura and Ann, mothers-in-law Pat Thornton and Sonya Quiroga, sister-in-law Robyn Curry and her husband Dan, sister-in-law Lori Collingsworth and her husband Justin, Aunt Robbie Williams, Aunt Pauline Gubbels and Uncle Matt Gubbels, Uncle Mark Kubala, nieces Ermine Reyna and Megan Curry, nephews Chase Reyna, Andrew Lochridge, Ryan Reyna, Alex Curry, Joey Bates and his wife Lam; his great nephew Mark; and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cooper M. & Zava Waldrop Lochridge Scholarship in Administration, Jones Graduate School of Business. Rice University, Attn: Kathleen Schieffelin, Assistant Dean of External Relations, P.O. Box 2932, Houston, TX, 77252.

Due to the Declaration on March 16, 2020 at 2:00pm, by City, County, and State officials barring gatherings larger than 50 people, all funeral services will remain private for the foreseeable future.
