Obituary of David Marion Berry

David Marion Berry was born on 3 September 1942, in Archer City, TX just NW of Fort Worth. He passed on 17 December 2022 in San Antonio, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Pamela Berry, brother Phillip Berry, sons James Berry and Robert Berry. Grandsons Justin Berry, Matthew Berry and Jonathon Berry. Great grandkids, Jayden Berry, Jonathon Berry and Addison Berry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Evelyn (1966) and James Berry (1993), siblings Hulen Berry (2011) and Cheryl Moon (2022), sons David Berry (2010) and Jonn Berry (2012).

David met Pamela Jane Moat at Chicksands AFB and were married in Hitchin Herts, UK on 30 October 1963.

David joined the USAF in July 1960 and served 25 years on Active Duty ending with his retirement as a MSGT in 1985. His tour of duty included assignments in Chicksands AFB, UK ; Goodfellow AFB; Lackland AFB; Cape Newingham, AK and Sembach AFB, GE.

After retirement from the Air Force, he joined the USPS in 1985, with tours at Valley Hi, Leon Valley, and Tejeda stations. He retired in 2009 with 24 years of service.

He was an avid billiards player, local jokester and all around car enthusiast. He won many pool tournaments with his friends’ Ben Jones and Ron Moore. David considered himself one of the unsung great players of his time. An avid John Wayne and action movie fan, his video library was bulging with favorite films. He also spoke of many adventures that he and his best friend Jackie Banett had as kids as he was a lifelong friend and buddy since grade school.
