David belonged to Nat M. Washer Lodge #1270 AF & AM and was a 33rd degree mason. David was also a Shriner and member of the Eastern Star.
David retired from Kelly AFB after 33 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Olivia Fernandez; parents Miguel and Cleofas Fernandez; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Fernandez; sons, David M. Fernandez and wife, Hortense, Miguel Mike Fernandez and wife, Barbara, Gilbert, Oscar, Roger, Jesse Daniel and wife, Edith, Gregory and wife, Lisa; daughters, Teresa and husband, Johnny Cantu, Lydia Martinez, and Brenda Fernandez; sister, Josephine Fernandez; 25 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
