

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Alpine. He is one of the last pioneers of the grave and cemetery services that he did for most of his life for many funeral homes. He enjoyed life to the fullest, loving his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elida H. Garza and by his five children, spouses, Sylvia and Hector Davila, Richard and Stella Garza, Roger and Araceli Garza, Betty and Bibian Nuez and son, Willie Garza. He is survived by his eight grandchildren, Jamie Martinez Greg, Becky Muoz Tony, Christina Brennan Eric, Rachel Garza, Katherine Nuez, Frances Garza, Hannah Garza; and only grandson, Paul Nuez.
David is also survived by his only great grandchild, Sophia Palmer; a brother, Joe Garza Ellen; and two sisters, Eloisa Green and Alicia Garza; and numerous nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be tonight from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
