He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry D. Jameson (Elna).
David received his master's degree in zoology before he entered Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas (1962).
After an internship, he entered family practice in San Antonio. He was a caring, dedicated physician who enjoyed his patients. After his retirement, he often spoke of the meaningful years and the wonderful people with whom he came in contact. It was not uncommon for him to be out and about and hear the cherished call, "Hi, Doc, we miss you!"
When he retired in 2002, he received hundreds of cards from his patients, which he kept and reread often. He called them his "Happy Cards." He was an avid reader, a semi-professional photographer, gardener, movie buff, and lover of animals and nature.
David was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved family gatherings. He was a member of Bexar County Medical Society, TMA and served as Chief-of-Staff at the Northeast Baptist Hospital. As a former member of Christ Episcopal Church, he served as president of Homebuilders. He was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church.
We would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, Kim Wasmuth, and his exceptional caregiver, Maria Hatch. Ben and Felisha Singer also served as valued caregivers.
