

David William Ladwig, born November 19, 1935 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away on November 28, 2014 surrounded by his wife of 57 years, Patsy, and family. For 21 years, Dave honorably served with, and was assigned to, US Air Force Band units. When assigned to San Antonio (SA), he decided this was home for the family. He worked for the V A in the Engineering Office, Audie Murphy Hospital, until his retirement in 1997. Dave shared his professional musical talent, construction knowledge, and all woodworking endeavors with family and all friends. His overwhelming enthusiasm for fishing, hunting, and playing golf will live on with his children, grandchildren, and friends. Dave was a Master Mason for 49 years and an active Alzafar Shriner. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his Son Richard, Brother Thomas, and Parents George and Mary Ladwig. He is survived by Brother Daniel (Cheryl) of Princeton, Wisconsin, Sons Steven (Colleen) of SA, James (LeAnn) of Monument, Colorado, and Daughter Linda Ann (Mason) of Corpus Christi; 13 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Alzafar Shrine Center, 901 N Loop 1604 West, San Antonio, TX 78232. A Memorial service, honoring Dave, will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 11:30 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2014.
