My heart goes out to The Lockard Family.  Though David's passing was sad, I can't help but thank him for bringing your wonderful family into my life.  I met all of you briefly here and there, but I have gotten to know Daniel very well.  Your family's strength, bond, and loving friendship are a testament to your devotion to each other and is something to be extremely thankful for.  Not everyone has a family such as yours and it is wonderful to see and feel that kind of Love.  I hope that the coming days become easier and the memory of David burns bright in your hearts and minds always.

My deepest condolenses to the entire Lockard family.  I went to middle school & high school w/ David.  What I remembered him most was amazing smile that lit up the room.  I'll keep your family in prayers.  He'll be praying for you guys every day in heaven.

I came to West Business Services in June 2005. The person who interviewed me and became my first manager was Dave Lockard. He was a man of few words but the little he said went a long way. This is a sad day for me as I truly considered him my friend.

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers, David was a good one!  I havent seen him in a while but had the chance to talk to him a few months back and really missed the times we had.  Not only working with him daily but the golf, movies etc he was always so proud of his family.  God blesss you and and know that David will continue to watch over you

My wife Stacie and I had the pleasure of working with David for several years.  His humor, kindness, and optimistic outlook always seemed to bring a bit of light to even the darkest.  We know that he was a devoted family man and that you must feel as though as though the light in your life has been extinguished.  I hope that you find comfort in your memories of David and the certainty that he now resides in a bright and beautiful place on high and will lovingly watch over you always.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Words cannot express what a wonderful man the world lost.  There are few people that have the ability to impact so many in a positive way.  David was one of those people.  It didn't matter what kind of day you were having...if you ran into Dave, you would walk away smiling.  His smile and love of life were contagious.  I consider myself to be very fortunate to have known Dave.  When he called to say goodbye and thank me for the years of friendship...I kept thinking that I should be the one thanking him.  Just knowing Dave made you want to be a better person.  Until we meet again, Sunshine!  I love you!

Brandy & Kids - My deepest heartbreaking condolences goes out to you all. I've known David since grade school when my family moved into the home directly behind from him. I remember sneaking off to play with him & his family, and even meeting Brandy for the 1st time. Where has the time gone? But again he was taken too soon. I wish I could've been home for the reunion to have had an opportunity to see him again, but am thankful I will always remember him as that smiling, kind friend in highschool. I remember back then how much he loved you Brandy & had no doubt that love continued to grow to this beautiful family you both created. You were fortunate enough to find your soulmate at a young age & I know he continues to protect you & the children as your guardian angel. And as soulmates, you will be together again in Heaven. I continue to pray that the Lord will comfort you & bring you peace.

David was a sweet kid & good friend, & grew up to be a great guy. It's such a sadness to learn of his passing. My heart hurts for you & your family. But I am thankful & happy that I knew & grew up with David & the rest of the Lockard family.

I worked with David for many years at West and I am very greatful that god chose our paths to cross. He taught me so much about business, and even more about life and family. He truly impacted my life. We will miss him.

Always remember David will be watching over you all.  Smiling down at you knowing you are all so loved.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this rough time.  I did not get to meet David but knowing how wonderful Mrs. Locakard is, I can only imagine what a wonderful man he was.

Brandy and children - My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. As a neighbors on the cul-de-sac I had the pleasure of knowing David. Always kind - waiving or saying hello or good morning to me, he was a wonderful man. I will miss his smile, waives, friendship and watching him interact with the children throwing the football or playing with his children. He added a special touch to our neighborhood and his presence will be dearly missed. I heard he handled his illness with such a positive outlook and all those that he touched will forever remember him for that. His pain is gone and now he is in the presence of the Lord. David will hold special memories for us all in one way or another. A wonderful husband to you Brandy and fantastic father to all you children. Find joy in your hearts for knowing such a great man. My prayers to the Lockard family in their time of sorrow. We were blessed to have Dave in our lives and are better for knowing him. He always brought the best out in us, which helped us to become better managers and people. Dave will be missed, but his spirit will always be in our hearts forever and we know he has gone to a better place. David- You are gone to soon, I was glad to know you. When ever i would see you or pass you in the hall you always said hi to me.  I enjoyed knowing you while you were at West. I guess its is so true when they say " only the good die young"  you were not only good but great. You were just an awesome person.May our Lord Jesus Christ welcome you in to heaven with open arms. Where to begin? Words "cannot adequately express the sadness and heaviness my heart feels" about the passing of David. A remarkable, vibrant, devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to many who were touched by him. David and I went to high school together. I have been praying for David and "every single one of you"..."Every single one" and I reflect and take pause to remember that David is now with our Lord and he is at peace. He will always, always be watching over every single one of you. This is not goodbye. I know words cannot simply take away the pain or emptiness, but please know that I will ALWAYS be praying for David and your entire family. He will truly, truly be missed...BUT, this is not goodbye...remember.  Music is a passion of mine and a way that I have always expressed myself. So, with this noted, I dedicate, to David, the song which is symbolic and conveys the true meaning of this very sad moment - Celine Dion's, "Immortality". Take heart and reflect on these words. I "sincerely" wish for each and every one of you that this song gives you comfort and reminds you that David will ALWAYS be with you.

It breaks my heart that David and I won’t share moments of laughter and great conversations any more. I was the lucky one to count David as a friend, I was the lucky one to spend time with David day in and day out for years, and I was the lucky one to be part of David’s day. Our prayers go to the Lockard family.  We know that Dave's strength has carried over to his kids and wife.  We are so thankful that Dave was able to enjoy a few more months from what the doctors predicted.  Until the very end, last phone call, he was very kind and loving.  As a manager, he was also like a father...developing his team to become better people and find strength in numbers.  We never wanted to disappoint him.  As a friend, he was always smiling, shared his feelings and laughed at his own golf swing.   We will miss him, but know that he is in a better place now...and we will all join him again some day.
