He was born in Bay City, Texas. He began his teaching career at Mercedes High School in the Valley as well as serving as a Baptist minister during those years. After moving to San Antonio in the early 70's, teaching radio and television repair, he taught at Edgewood High School for 10 years, and retired from Fox Tech High School in 1985.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 loving years, Eloisa; his daughter, Sylvia Robinson and her husband George; granddaughter, Brittany; grandson, Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
