David Mora, a deeply devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on May 3, 1967, David lived a life rooted in patience, deep care, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.
David will be remembered most for the beautiful, selfless way he lived his life, particularly in the years he dedicated to taking care of his mother during her battle with dementia. He approached her care with boundless patience, a gentle spirit, and profound love.
Following his graduation from high school, David entered the workforce and spent many proud years working with Goodwill Industries, Albertsons, and Wal-Mart. Known for his strong work ethic, he spent years pushing carts and doing what was needed, collecting lifelong friends along the way with his easy going nature.
David’s proudest moments in life were the births of his beloved nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him. He was a constant, loving presence in their lives. In his personal time, David knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching the San Antonio Spurs, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and following wrestling. He could often be found listening to Tejano music, wearing his favorite color green, enjoying a great hamburger, or sharing a margarita.
Following his mother's passing in July 2025, David found a renewed sense of freedom to enjoy life's next chapter. He cherished going out to dinner and making special memories with his best friend and girlfriend, Nancy.
David leaves behind a legacy of kindness, family devotion, and true friendship. He is survived by his brother, Armando Mora Jr. and wife Martha; his sister, Diane Downing and husband Kyle; his girlfriend, Nancy; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Armando III, Genesis, Brant, Blake, Hannah, and Grace.
He goes to join his beloved father and mother, Armando and Bertha Mora, in eternal rest.
His family and friends meant the world to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
